There are huge changes coming up on the way our remixes will be released. To tell you the truth I'm quite disappointed with how bitchy quite a few people get with the teasers and how demanding and critical some others get when the remix they expect hasn't come out yet. Music is a passion driven form of art and when I'm excited about something I just made, it's natural for me to want sharing it with people and that's when the remix teaser comes out.
The $50 I get for a fully funded song equals for about $1 per hour of work. It's barely any good money and in fact I have huge problems surviving over here with my future being quite uncertain. The official works are slow and payments at this phase very uncertain too. So when I get pressure from random people is something way discouraging. Thus I decided to change things a bit and release teasers only for finished remixes - with the exception being my vlogs.
The official works are mainly concentrated on the networking rather than the business side, trying to get my face out there first since that's how the music industry works. Then despite the countless remix requests per day and the heavy interest in my music from my fans, checking the poor donation income of the last two months (about $100), I have suspicions that music at this point might not be a solution to my life. That would mean I would have to completely drop every music activity soon, in order to pursue a proper carrier as a programmer - which it was my focus point when I came to Korea in the first place. Music has been taking away all my time and energy and I have been procrastinating my efforts to get my self an office job.
That said, I have been uncommonly sick for the past two months, affecting not only my work but my whole life, as the fear for something serious became my everyday reality. This is the main reason on why I haven't been able to keep up with the funded remixes, when under normal conditions I should be able to release a remix in every 2-3 days. Being constantly weak, dizzy and in fear doesn't help much. I've already had some basic tests in Korea - that thankfully got some bad possibilities away and next week I'll be going to Greece to have a full check-up and clear up my health situation. Providing everything turns out well, I will stay there for about 3 months and I'll be working closely with our team member Chris on remixes and other official works, on our fully equipped studio there.
So at this point I would appreciate your support by being a bit less critical and patient when it comes to releases.
