Aaron and I met a few months ago, almost by chance. After one day of working in the studio with each other, we both knew we were meant to make something special together. These past few months, we were in the studio almost every day recording my album, finishing eachother's sentences, drinking countless energy drinks to stay awake, having way too much fun to call it work, and becoming friends. The world lost an amazing person when he passed two days ago, and I feel like I lost my musical soulmate.
We both LOVED Bon Iver and would sometimes just take a break from recording to listen to For Emma, Forever Ago. Blood Bank was one of our favorites. The night before he passed, I was listening to a mixed CD and Blood Bank came on, so I texted him that I was listening to our favorite song, thinking about him & hoping he was ok. When I found out he had passed away the next morning, this song wouldn't get out of my head. So here is a song dedicated to the wonderful Aaron Michael Cox. You will always be dearly missed.
Much thanks to Kerry Furrh for taking most of the footage of us in the studio
