When I was playing around with this song, changing some of the lyrics and wording things differently, I really tried to stay true to the regretful feeling that Bruno Mars portrayed. I wanted to show honesty in admitting that neither side did things totally right, but I also wanted to show a strong woman who knows she deserves better. I wanted to show the regret of wishing that "he" had treated me right when he was my man, but by learning how not to be treated, I have found someone who does put in the time and effort and truly loves me. That's my perspective on this tune!!! Hope you enjoy!!!
